Fishing at Queen Charlotte Safaris(QCS) lodge in Haida Gwaii B.C. Canada is one of the most amazing experiences you’ll ever have. This lingcod is one in a series that I painted for QCS’s ‘Grand Slam’ which consists of catching a king salmon, halibut, lingcod and a yelloweye rockfish in the same day! I really wanted to capture the beautiful camouflage on these rock dwellers as well as their ferocity and prehistoric qualities. They are not called ‘Lingasaurs’ for nothing!
