Fishing at Queen Charlotte Safaris(QCS) lodge in Haida Gwaii B.C. Canada is one of the most amazing experiences you’ll ever have. This halibut is one in a series that I painted for QCS’s ‘Grand Slam’ which consists of catching a king salmon, halibut, lingcod and a yelloweye rockfish in the same day! These bottom dwellers grow very large and camouflage themselves well on the ocean floor as they wait to ambush prey.
