Fishing at Queen Charlotte Safaris(QCS) lodge in Haida Gwaii B.C. Canada is one of the most amazing experiences you’ll ever have. This chinook salmon is one in a series that I painted for QCS’s ‘Grand Slam’ which consists of catching a chinook salmon, halibut, lingcod and a yelloweye rockfish in the same day! These sleek and gorgeous gamefish are straight from the ocean and are feeding off the waters of Haida Gwaii before their spawning run north and up the rivers. It was such an amazing experience catching these beautiful gamefish and her they are captured as they battle and slice through the water.
