The bluefin tuna is one of the most powerful fish in the ocean that can reach upwards of 300lbs. on the pacific coast. This piece was inspired by a multi day fishing trip I took out of San Diego to catch these beasts aboard the fantastic sport fishing vessel ‘Vagabond’. I really tried to capture the voracity of these gamefish as well as their power. I am forever grateful to the Lage family for inviting me on their yearly charter!!!
